MECHANICAL + CHEMICAL RESURFACING

 

To resurface the skin is to remove dead and dry skin cells, improve texture, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark spots while promoting the healing of blemishes. Resurfacing can be done mechanically (using Microdermabrasion or Dermaplaning), or chemically (using Chemical Lift), and both types of resurfacing can be customized from gentle to aggressive. One resurfacing method may be better than another for your unique skin type. For example, those with rosacea are candidates for dermaplaning, but not microdermabrasion. Severe acne responds better to chemical resurfacing than dermaplaning. Those with “peach fuzz” on the face benefit more from dermaplaning because it temporarily removes the hair.
